The Despatch Box is the Official Politics and International Relations Journal of the PIR Society. It was established in 2016 by the PIR Society President, Daniel J. Atherton, and OJ-IT Officer, Kelli Jones, to foster and broadcast the journalistic and political investigational discourse of the Royal Holloway student body. It is focused on publishing and developing high-quality political commentary on campus, national, and international issues.

The Board of Student Writers was first appointed in September, 2016, with each member contributing regularly to the online journal. This board provides a peer review service that will ensure that all journal entries will be of pristine and upmost quality whilst allowing for writers to delve into new and radical subject whilst maintaining effective interest for readers. Other contributions will be welcomed and invited from Society Members, with special additional content provided from alumni, faculty members, and guest writers. See here for further information on providing additional content for the journal as a guest writer.

At the end of the year, the top contributions as well as key, unique entries, will be compiled into a physical PIR Review, and stored in the RHUL Library System. This will ensure that the best content created by RHUL Students will endure well into the future, and provide effective proof of such success.
